THE GAP NOBODY
TALKS ABOUT
SOUND FAMILIAR?
Your goalie is putting in the work. But something's still missing -- and it's not technical.
They let in a bad goal and can't shake it -- the next ten minutes are a disaster and nobody knows how to fix that.
They work hard at practice but play tentatively in games -- the gap between training and competing is wide.
"Nobody in my draft class had a mentor who played the position at the NHL level. I had to figure most of it out on my own -- what to do after a bad game, how to manage pressure, how to compete for a job. I want to give goalies today what I wish I had at 15."
Curtis McElhinney, Peak Performance Goaltending
They don't have anyone guiding the bigger picture -- what levels to chase, how to prepare, what scouts actually look for.
The pressure to be perfect is shrinking their game, not growing it.
what's included
more than coaching.
a roadmap.
Six areas that separate good goalies from great ones — and great goalies from the ones who have long careers.
01
MENTAL PERFORMANCE
Composure after bad goals. Pre-game routines. How to compete in pressure moments. This is what I built my 16-year career on -- and it's teachable.
02
technical foundation
Video review of your positioning, movement patterns, and save execution. Specific feedback on what's working and what needs to change.
03
Game reading
How to read plays before they develop. Shooter tendencies. Understanding the game at the level coaches and scouts watch it.
04
daily structure
Off-ice training, sleep, nutrition habits. and preparation -- the unglamorous work that creates consistent performance.
05
pathway guidance
Honest conversations about development paths, what level is realistic, how to prepare for tryouts, and what scouts actually evaluate.
06
parent alignment
Regular updates so parents understand the plan, know how to support their goalie, and stay aligned with their athlete's development.
the process
how it
actually works
01
INTAKE CONSULTATION
A 45-minute video call -- me, the athlete, and one parent. I want to understand current level, goals, what's working, and what's holding them back. This is a real conversation, not a sales call.
02
personalized game plan
Within one, I deliver a written development plan: focus areas, specific drills, mental performance protocols, and goals for the first 60 days. Your goalie knows exactly what they're working on and why.
03
monthly video sessions
We meet one-on-one every month to review progress, watch game footage, address what's come up, and adjust the plan. Athletes also get messaging access for questions between sessions.
04
ongoing accountability
Monthly check-in notes, parent updates, and an evolving plan that adjusts as the season progresses. If a big game, a bad stretch, or a tryout comes up -- I'm available.

who this is for
This is built
for you if...
Your goalie is technically solid but mentally inconsistent -- the mental side is holding them back more than their technique.
You want your athlete working with someone who's actually lived the journey, not just coached it from the outside.
Your goalie is trying to get to the next level -- AAA, prep school, junior, college -- and needs honest guidance on what that path actually requires.
You're done with one-size-fits-all coaching and want a plan built around your athlete's specific strengths and gaps.
